Our Family History Goals include the following.
- For each person in the first four generations of our direct ancestors.
- Verify and correct the following.
- Birth/christening
- Parent-child relationship
- Marriage to spouse
- Death/burial
- Add memories to the gallery and attach them to each person.
- Do the same for each person in the fifth generation and each previous generation as far back as possible.
- Find more relatives to add to our ancestor lines.
- Use ascendancy research to find our ancestors
- Ancestors are blood relatives and their spouses but not the parents or siblings of the spouse.
- Use Family Tree's Landscape, Portrait or Fan Chart View or Puzzilla.org to view our ancestors.
- Choose an ancestoral line to add to.
- Use descendancy research to find descendants of our ancestors
- Descentants are blood relatives and their spouses but not the parents or siblings of the spouse.
- Use Family Tree's Descendancy View or use Puzzilla.org to view our ancestors.
- Choose an ancestor's descendant line that ended before 110 years ago.
- Find possible relatives (individuals who have a probable family relationship that cannot be verified because the records are inadequate, such as those who have the same last name and resided in the same area as our known ancestors).
- Use Family Tree's Landscape, Portrait or Fan Chart View or Puzzilla.org to view our ancestors.
- Choose an ancestor to find possible relatives for.
- When we have chosen the ancestoral line to research.
- Make sure the dates in the relationships of the ancestor's line are in the correct time frame.
- Verify that the sources attached to the individuals in the line prove the relationships.
- Make sure the line has no data problems such as incorrect parents or spouses or incorrect locations.
- Do the research to find the new ancestor/relative.
